KEINO Competence Centre is part of the Procure2Innovate network which is the European network of Competence Centres for innovation Procurement. In March 2021 the representatives of Austria, Germany, Finland and Sweden gathered together to present some current topics and cases in each country.

The presentations covered financial support for innovation procurement, testing beds and how they can be included in the innovation procurement process, Dynamic Purchasing Systems in innovation procurement and open innovation instruments.

“It was a very interesting session that opened up the fact that procurement of innovation does not happen without sturdy support from government instances. All of the participants were very interested in the structures of financial aid that procuring innovation have in different countries in the network and how well these structures function” says Salla Koivusalo, leading expert from Motiva and responsible for organizing the meeting.

The presentations of the meeting can be found as attachments below.

The network will arrange the next meeting online on innovation procurement in May. The topics will cover three case presentations (health care/social issues, transport sector, digitization) plus a supplier statement and a short panel for comments on challenges and success factors.
